This position develops and conducts training programs, orientation, and continuing education for new and current employees specific to a department or function. The incumbent assesses training needs of staff and monitors the effectiveness of the training program.

This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.

Responsibilities:
- Creates or obtains training and orientation materials.
- Identifies and assesses employee skill level and training needs.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of department education and training programs.
- Maintains documentation of training, education, and new employee orientation.
- Creates reports of quality management training, educational activities, and program effectiveness.
- Develops and implements monthly training schedule.
- Supervises and audits employees daily work.
- Provides orientation for all newly hired employees.
- Develops and conducts training and regulatory procedures within departments, completes documentation requirements, and department specific computer operations.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.
- Demonstrated computer, organization, human relation and effective communication skills.
- Ability to accurately evaluate employee needs to develop training programs and education materials that are effective and address diverse skill levels.

Qualifications:
Required
- Six years of progressively more responsible experience in a related area, including one year as a trainer, or equivalency.

Qualifications (Preferred):
Preferred
- Applicable supervisory training.
- Experience in an orthopaedic clinic
